Strong Recruitment Group Limited is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor in Peterborough to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and supervise the warehouse team, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched efficiently. You will maintain accurate stock records, support productivity targets and uphold health and safety standards, with a Monday–Friday schedule 08:00–17:00.

Previous FMCG warehouse supervisory experience and familiarity with WMS systems are essential.

• Experience running a small to medium FMCG operation.
• Experience with WMS systems and manual processes.
• Familiarity with managing external stakeholders such as clients, temp agencies and contractors.
• Experience in warehouse operations; supervisory experience preferred.
• Forklift operating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and WMS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

Salary: £37,000-£40,000 per annum
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break
Reports to: Warehouse Manager and/or Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and supervise the warehouse team to ensure goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched efficiently. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, supporting productivity targets and ensuring health and safety standards are followed.

Person Specification

Experience and Knowledge

• Experience running a small to medium FMCG operation
• Experience with WMS systems but also has the experience to use manual, paper driven processes.
• Familiarity with managing external sources such as occasional client interaction, key internal stakeholders, temp agencies, contractors etc
• Experience in warehouse operations; previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Forklift operating experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Working Environment
