Job summary

Access Garage Doors Ltd is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to help maintain efficient warehouse operations and support door deliveries across the South East and Midlands.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will supervise loading, stock control, and counter sales while ensuring safe, timely removals and deliveries. The role requires a clean UK driving license, forklift experience, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and forklift use.
• Clean driving licence with up to 3 points accepted.
• Experience of driving around the South East.
• Physically fit; heavy lifting involved.
• Forward thinking and able to work alone or as part of a team.
• Trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles are loaded correctly with doors/spare parts.
• Cover driving to regular customers in the South East and Midlands areas.
• Unload garage doors/spares from vehicles, including self-unloading when the customer is not present.
• Lead loading of vehicles for next day’s deliveries.
• Work in stores during busy periods; pick and pack items; use courier systems.
• Trade counter duties: help customers with enquiries, product information and dispatching doors.
• Process new deliveries, check off and book in.
• Manage warehouse movements, stock control, door rotation, and prep for large deliveries.
• Act as key holder in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
• Perform general warehouse duties, maintenance and van cleaning.
• Accurately use Sage systems.
• Support Capital Building Plastics with trade counter coverage and deliveries.

Assistant Warehouse Manager at Access Garage Doors Ltd

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for helping maintain efficient warehouse operations and help deliver garage doors around South East and Midlands areas. There will also be warehouse duties as listed below. This is a customer facing role.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for checking vehicles are correctly loaded with correct doors/spare parts.
• Help cover driving to regular customers in the South East and Midlands areas.
• Unloading garage doors/spares from vehicles (customer not always present –sothis will involve self-unloading garage doors)
• Lead the team with loading vehicles for next day’s deliveries
• Working in the stores during busy periods, which includes picking and packing correct items and using courier systems
• Trade counter work, helping customers with new enquiries, helping with product information and despatching doors.
• Dealing with new deliveries, checking off and booking in.
• Involved with warehouse movements, stock control, door rotation and prepping for larger deliveries.
• Key holder – looking after warehouse operations in absence of Warehouse Manager.
• General warehouse duties, maintenance and cleaning of vans.
• Accurate use of Sage systems.
• Helping Capital Building Plastics, cover the trade counter and delivering of good to customers.
• Clean Driving Licence, a maximum of 3 points is acceptable
• Experience in warehouse operations/forklift use.

Hours:7:30am – 5.00pm Monday - Friday
