Job summary

Clearwater People Solutions is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support efficient warehouse operations and delivery of garage doors across the Southeast and Midlands.

The role involves loading/unloading, stock control, and leading the loading team for the next day’s deliveries, with some trade counter duties and courier system usage. A driving role requiring a valid licence and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• Valid Clean Driving Licence with up to 3 points.
• Physically fit with ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Experience in warehouse operations and forklift use is essential.
• Strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles are loaded with correct doors/spare parts.
• Assist with driving to regular customers in Southeast and Midlands areas.
• Unloading garage doors/spares from vehicles, sometimes without the customer present.
• Lead the team with loading vehicles for next day's deliveries.
• Work in stores during busy periods, picking and packing items and using courier systems.
• Assist at the trade counter, handling new enquiries and despatching doors.
• Deal with new deliveries, check off and book in items.
• Involved with warehouse movements, stock control, door rotation and prepping for larger deliveries.
• Act as key holder in absence of Warehouse Manager and support general warehouse duties, maintenance and cleaning of vans.

Our client, an established home improvement specialist, is currently recruiting an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their Warehousing team. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for helping maintain efficient warehouse operations and help deliver garage doors around Southeast and Midlands areas.

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Warehouse Manager:

• Responsible for checking vehicles are correctly loaded with correct doors/spare parts.
• Help cover driving to regular customers in the Southeast and Midlands areas.
• Unloading garage doors/spares from vehicles (customer not always present - so this will involve self-unloading garage doors)
• Lead the team with loading vehicles for next day's deliveries
• Working in the stores during busy periods, which includes picking and packing correct items and using courier systems
• Trade counter work, helping customers with new enquiries, helping with product information and despatching doors.
• Dealing with new deliveries, checking off and booking in.
• Involved with warehouse movements, stock control, door rotation and prepping for larger deliveries.
• Key holder - looking after warehouse operations in absence of Warehouse Manager.
• General warehouse duties, maintenance and cleaning of vans.

Skills Required for the Assistant Warehouse Manager:

• Clean Driving Licence, a maximum of 3 points is acceptable
• Physically fit; heavy lifting involved
