A leading supplier of automotive parts is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager for a new position aimed at supporting the Warehouse Manager. This role involves hands-on management of warehouse operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring productivity and safety standards. The position is initially a 3-month contract with potential for permanence, offering benefits like 25 days holiday and professional development support.
Working for a supplier of automotive parts, this small, established and very successful business has created this new position of Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in the day to day management of the warehouse, as well as being hands on in a range of associated duties.
This is an initial 3 month contract, with a view that it will become permanent.
You will help ensure efficiency and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity, being involved in everything from forklift truck operation to offload deliveries through to assisting in the management of 10 staff and close liaison with the office functions, such as procurement, administration and sales.
This position requires strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, the ability to liaise between departments, a solid understanding of warehouse management systems and a calm approach.
