Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join a leading manufacturing company in the UK. The role is based at their head office and involves managing various warehouse operations.

Salary and Hours

• Salary: £32,760
• Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday (flexibility around working hours may be required)

Requirements

• Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role
• Full driving licence
• Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach truck) - desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched correctly
• Lead and motivate team members
• Manage receiving deliveries, stock takes, replenishments, picking, checking orders, loading, and dispatching
• Conduct forklift and warehouse inspections to maintain safety standards
• Develop warehouse operatives, build confidence, and improve performance
• Maintain strong communication, customer service, and IT skills
