With its modern visitor centre, Welney is the gateway to Norfolk and the Ouse Washes.

Your role will be varied, including biological recording and surveying, habitat management, estate maintenance, and cattle checks. You will also play a key role in running guided walks, assisting with events, and promoting and supervising volunteers.

About You

  • Bring a good mix of practical conservation and engagement experience.
  • Have knowledge of UK wetland species to support onsite species monitoring.
  • Be a people person, able to work within a small team and confidently engage with the public.
