Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join the team.
WWT Welney is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to support the management of this remarkable RAMSAR, SPA, and SSSI wetland site in Norfolk.
WWT Welney Wetland Centre in Norfolk covers 700ha of the northernmost part of the Ouse Washes, supporting numerous wetland species including breeding populations of black-tailed godwit, lapwing, redshank, and snipe, and attracting large winter gatherings of wild ducks and swans. With its modern visitor centre, Welney is the gateway to Norfolk and the Ouse Washes.
Your role will be diverse, including biological recording and surveying, habitat management, estate maintenance, and cattle checks. You will also play a key role in leading guided walks, assisting with events, and promoting and supervising volunteers.
