About the Role

This role will play a key part in supporting the Pride in Place regeneration programme in the Ravenscliffe area of Eccleshill Ward. The successful candidate will work closely with residents, community organisations, partners, and local stakeholders to help deliver improvement projects that enhance the neighbourhood and strengthen community pride.

The postholder will have a dedicated role in supporting the delivery of the Ravenscliffe Area Pride in Place programme, working closely with residents, community organisations and the Ravenscliffe Pride in Place Board. He/she will help residents have a meaningful voice in shaping their neighbourhood, support community-led projects and initiatives, and help turn local priorities and ideas into positive action. He/she will work closely with the Board Chair and local MP to support delivery of the programme's agreed priorities, including its 10-year vision, delivery plan and investment priorities. The role will include facilitating community engagement, supporting meetings and events, coordinating agreed actions, gathering and communicating residents' views, helping community groups build capacity and supporting the development and delivery of local projects. Will liaise with the Ravenscliffe Community Association Finance Officer to monitor day to day expenditure and ensure that there is a monthly budget overview of monies held by them. He/she will have the opportunity to develop your skills in neighbourhood working, partnership development, community engagement, and place-based regeneration while making a tangible difference to the lives of local residents. He/she will build effective relationships across the Council, voluntary and community sector, public services, businesses and other local partners, helping connect Pride in Place with wider activity in Ravenscliffe Area and Bradford East. Governance and Partnership Working

This is a Bradford Council post, and the Council will remain the accountable body for the Pride in Place programme. The postholder will work as part of the Council's locality team and will be matrix managed by the Area Co-ordinator and the Chair of the Ravenscliffe Area Pride in Place Board, providing a clear link between Council accountability and the community-led governance of the programme. The Area Co-ordinator will provide day-to-day management and support within the Council's locality structure, while the Chair will provide strategic guidance in relation to the priorities of the Pride in Place programme. The postholder will work closely with both to ensure that agreed priorities are progressed effectively. The postholder will also develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Strategic Project facilitator, who will provide strategic oversight of the wider Pride in Place regeneration and transformation programme, ensuring effective communication, coordination and alignment between community engagement and programme delivery. The postholder will also work constructively with the local Member of Parliament and other key stakeholders, where appropriate, to support communication with the community and delivery of agreed Pride in Place priorities.

We are looking for people who:

• Are educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and/or possess practical full-time experience working within a complex multi-agency setting
• Have strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to build relationships with people from different backgrounds and a genuine commitment to community development and improving the Ravenscliffe Area
• You do not need previous local authority experience. We are interested in people with the right skills, experience and approach to make a positive difference
• This is a community-facing role, so you will need to be approachable, flexible and willing to work at times and in locations that enable you to engage effectively with Ravenscliffe residents and community groups
• We particularly encourage local people with right skills set from the area
