Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking an motivated and organized Assistant Transport Manager to join our client's transport team in Barnsley. You will support the Transport Manager, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driver compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong IT skills (Excel), excellent communication, and solid experience in traffic, transport or logistics. You will step into Transport Manager duties during holidays to ensure continuity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic, transport or logistics environment.
• Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transport Manager with daily driver pre-briefs and de-briefs.
• Promote and maintain high standards of customer service across the transport operation.
• Ensure driver compliance with company policies and processes.
• Provide operational support and cover Transport Manager duties during holidays or absence.
• Liaise with external service providers to ensure compliance for vehicles and drivers.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient and compliant transport operation.
