Job summary

RTX is seeking an Assistant Technician for the late shift in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. The role ensures airworthiness release data complies with regulations and AS9100; supports regional distribution and assembly teams with customer certification requests.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and Quality teams to address non-conformities and ensure documentation meets standards. The position offers a generous benefits package and career growth.

Qualifications

• UK CAA Part 21G Regulations experience is essential.
• AS9100 experience.
• Awareness of the Quality Management System and all applicable procedures/WI/Forms.
• Identification of non-conformity material/product.
• Ability to read and understand 2D & 3D drawings.
• Use of Teamcenter and the inspection function for all product types.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all parts are in accordance with all aspects of approved design data.
• Identify any part not in accordance with the engineering data and raise within the non-conforming material system.
• Work with Engineering, Procurement and Quality Engineering to address any customer certification request.
• Work with picking, packing and shipping to ensure parts and certification documentation meet regulations and AS9100 standards.
• Work with the Customer Services representative as needed to address customer certification requests.

Assistant Technician – Late Shift – Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

The role of the Assistant Technician is to ensure that all product provided for airworthiness release is in accordance with applicable regulations and the AS9100 Standard. The products are processed in support of the Regional Distribution Centre and assembly departments to meet customer needs. The role reports directly to the Quality System Compliance Manager and has no direct reports.
