Job summary

West Northamptonshire Council is hiring an Assistant Team Manager for Continuing Healthcare in Northampton. You will oversee social workers and practitioners, guiding high-quality support for adults with complex health and social care needs, in collaboration with the Team Manager and NHS partners.

You will supervise, coach and develop staff, drive safeguarding and risk management, and promote strengths-based, person-centred practice across the CHC service.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience in adult social care.
• Commitment to strengths-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coaching and professional support to team members.
• Offer advice and guidance on complex cases, safeguarding concerns and risk management.
• Support the team to deliver strengths-based and person-centred practice.
• Work closely with NHS colleagues and other partners in the Continuing Healthcare process.
• Help manage workloads and ensure timely support for adults with complex needs.
• Lead on quality assurance activity, audits and practice development.
• Support recruitment, induction and development of colleagues.
• Contribute to service improvements and shape the CHC service.
