Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Finance Systems Specialist to support Microsoft D365 and related tools from its UK office in Woking. You will link Finance with the D365 Tech team and business users, driving improvements through automation and process enhancements.

You will document controls, support upgrades and testing, and deliver user training while ensuring alignment with internal controls and data governance standards.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant with experience in finance systems.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 and ERP environments in medium/large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, AP, AR, reporting and month-end close.
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into system solutions and train users.
• Experience supporting system changes, testing or process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with software providers, consultants and D365 teams as required.

• Act as a key link between Finance, the D365 Tech team and wider business users.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through automation, system enhancements and better use of existing tools.
• Document system processes, controls and procedures.
• Work with the D365 technical team to ensure the core finance system operates according to business requirements.
• Support system upgrades, patches, testing and implementation of new functionality.
• Ensure financial systems comply with internal controls, audit requirements and data governance standards.
• Provide support and guidance to finance system users.
• Deliver training to new and existing users on finance systems and processes.
• Translate business requirements into system solutions in collaboration with Finance and the D365 technical team.
• Support finance transformation projects, system implementations and integration work.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, regression testing and issue tracking.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with finance systems in a medium or large organisation.
• Strong understanding of core finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting and month-end close.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Experience supporting system changes, testing or process improvements.
