Job summary

LeisureSK in the United Kingdom seeks an Assistant Swimming Teacher to support the delivery of Swim School and School Swimming programmes across our leisure centres. You will assist with planning and delivering fun, engaging lessons, following the Swim England pathway and guidance from governing bodies.

This role is developmental; you will work toward Swim England Level 1 and 2 Teaching Qualifications and NRASTC rescue qualification.

Qualifications

• Developmental role with progression toward Swim England Level 1 & 2 teaching qualifications.
• Supportive learning environment with guidance from governing bodies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent quality teaching service.
• Maintain the Swim School brand standards and procedures.
• Organise, plan, perform and evaluate a structured programme using Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway.
• Ensure Swim School records (Learn2) are updated with attendance and assessment data.
• Ensure all activities are FUN and promote a caring image of the Swim School and the Company.
• Support other swimming-related activities to provide a quality development programme.
• Update and improve technical knowledge through CPD and staff training.
• Identify suitable pupils for exit routes to performance pathways.
• Maintain high customer care with a warm, welcoming approach.
• Be aware of Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure safety procedures are met.
• Be aware of the Pool Safety Operating Procedure.
