Job summary

Oxleys Road is seeking an Assistant Support Worker in Stevenage to help adults living with mental health challenges achieve independence. This full‑time role supports daily living skills, promotes wellbeing, and builds trusting relationships within a caring, collaborative team.

Shifts include 3pm–11pm with a weekly sleep‑in; salary £26,229 per annum. Benefits include mileage reimbursement, pension, annual leave, training and development, and an employee helpline.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Flexibility to undertake sleep-ins (minimum one per week).
• Reliable, caring and inclusive individual who is passionate about helping others.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting.
• Assist with medication and promote wellbeing.
• Organise activities and community trips.
• Encourage independence and support personal goals.
