Screwfix Direct Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Retail Branch Manager and keep customers at the heart of every decision. You’ll help with store standards, frontline service, and warehouse operations while supervising staff and driving profit improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, delivering excellent customer experiences, and guiding teams to meet targets. A strong training program and varied shifts support development and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Store standards – alongside the retail Branch Manager, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, from front of house to the warehouse.
• Inspire your team – you’ll be hands on and lead by example, motivating your team to give a great customer experience.
• Store management – budgets, Rota’s and Payroll, P&L analysis, managing stock and improving profits are all part of your role.
