Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and assist with deposits while maximizing profitability and protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or strongly preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a retail environment and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and leadership capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy adherence.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Ensure planogram compliance and proper merchandise presentation.
• Maintain cashier integrity, cash handling and deposits.
