Job summary

Dollar Tree in Reading, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. Duties include assisting with day-to-day activities and supporting store associates to deliver outstanding service.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is also preferred. You must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms included, and keep areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
