Welcome Break is seeking an Assistant Manager for Greggs at Whitley, Traporley Rd, Lower Whitley. This full‑time role offers a rewarding salary package up to £27,000 with a bonus scheme and a £10 meal allowance on every shift, plus a structured career path.

You will help lead the team day to day, support the Store Manager across service, safety, people and commercial performance, coach on shift, manage stock and routines, and ensure the unit is clean, well‑organised and ready for busy periods.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager in busy retail, hospitality or customer service.
• Ability to lead from the front and develop others on shift.
• Strong customer service and welcoming experience.
• Capable of juggling priorities and staying organized in a busy environment.
• Commitment to standards, compliance and sales performance.
• Aspiration to progress into Store Manager role.

Ready to take the next step in your leadership career in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment? As an Assistant Manager in Greggsat Welcome Break, you’ll help lead the team day to day, keep standards high, and make sure every customer gets a warm welcome and a great experience.

You’ll support the Store Manager in Greggsacross service, safety, people, and commercial performance, coaching the team on shift, helping to manage stock and routines, and making sure the unit is clean, well‑organised, and ready for every rush. It’s a hands‑on role with real responsibility, and we’ll give you the training and support to grow into a Store Manager role.
