Poundland is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Hastings to support the Store Manager in leading the team, delivering outstanding service and store standards.

You’ll be at the heart of the store, driving performance, coaching colleagues, managing stock, and ensuring efficient daily operations while upholding our customer-first culture and loss-prevention measures. This role offers development and a pathway to Store Manager opportunities.

About The Role

Join us here at Poundland as an Assistant Store Manager and play a key role in supporting the Store Manager to lead, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver amazing service and outstanding store standards every day.

You’ll be right at the heart of the store, helping drive performance, hit targets, and make sure everything runs smoothly, from customer service and team coaching to stock management, operational excellence, and loss prevention. With your support, the store will be a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment for our colleagues and customers alike.

A confident, people focused approach is essential. You’ll inspire your team, develop future succession, and lead by example, while keeping an eye on sales, performance, and the day-to-day operations of a busy retail store.

Previous retail experience and essential people leadership skills will help you thrive, along with strong organisation, commercial awareness, and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-moving environment.
