Job summary

ARNE is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a six-month fixed-term contract at Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent. The role reports to the Store Manager and focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, strong sales performance and team development.

You will support daily operations, lead by example on the shop floor, and ensure the store runs smoothly in the manager's absence with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Previous Assistant Store Manager, Deputy Manager or strong supervisory experience
• A genuine passion for retail, product and brilliant customer service
• The confidence to lead from the front and coach a diverse team
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs
• Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and key trading periods

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Store Manager with daily operations, team deployment, opening and closing procedures
• Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales targets
• Coaching colleagues and supporting their development, confidence and performance
• Monitoring KPIs and identifying practical ways to improve sales and efficiency
• Maintaining high visual merchandising, stock and operational standards
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
• Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the store in the Store Manager's absence

Role: Assistant Store Manager - ARNE | Six-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract: Full-time, six-month fixed-term contract

Start Date: ASAP - Opens Mid October

The Assistant Store Manager Role:

As Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in every aspect of running a successful store. You will lead by example on the shop floor, drive an excellent customer experience and help build a confident, capable and motivated team. You will be a key part of the store leadership team from day one, taking ownership of the operation when the Store Manager is not present.
