Job summary

Hope Wood Academy is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor to join our site team, supporting repairs, maintenance and upkeep to create a safe and welcoming school environment for all students, including those with Special Educational Needs.

The role emphasises practical hands-on work, safe building and grounds maintenance, and the ability to adapt to a busy school setting. Opportunities exist to develop professionally while contributing to a positive school experience for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential.
Experience of carrying out building repairs, maintenance or practical site-related duties.
An understanding of health and safety requirements and how these are applied in practice.
A willingness to learn, share good practice and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

Carrying out building repairs, maintenance or practical site-related duties.
Help ensure the school remains a safe, welcoming and positive environment for children and young people with SEN.
Maintain safe, secure and welcoming environments.
Manage a varied workload with strong organisational skills.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Communicate clearly with colleagues, contractors and visitors.
