Howells Solutions Limited is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager for a social housing planned works project in St Albans. You will supervise and coordinate contractors, ensuring works progress safely within programme deadlines and local regulations.

The role requires SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS, DBS readiness, and experience in social housing. A full clean driving license and health and safety knowledge are essential to manage diverse trades on site.

Qualifications

• Must have SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a relevant field or working towards.
• Social Housing experience required.
• CSCS Card mandatory.
• DBS check or willing to undertake.
• First Aid knowledge.
• Knowledge of varied trades.
• Strong Health and Safety understanding.
• Asbestos Awareness desirable.
• Full clean UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage contractors delivering planned works.
• Ensure works are completed safely and within stated timescales.
• Manage sub-contractors and inspect properties pre- and post-works.
• Chair progress meetings and oversee day-to-day delivery of the programme.

Based in St Albans
45k plus package

We are working with a leading Social Housing Refurbishment contractor to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to join their team in St Albans on a planned internal and external works project.

As the Assistant Site Manager you will supervise and manage the contractors undertaking works, ensuring the works are completed in a safe and efficient manner within stated timescales. You will be responsible for management of sub-contractors, inspecting properties pre and post works, taking progress meetings and overseeing the day to day delivery of the programme.

Assistant Site Manager Experience & Qualifications

• SSSTS or SMSTS


• Working towards an NVQ Level 3 or 4


• Social Housing experience


• CSCS Card


• Current DBS / Willingness to undertake DBS Check


• First Aid


• Knowledge of varied trades


• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety


• Asbestos Awareness


• Full Clean Driving License
