Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is recruiting a Site Manager for Planned Maintenance in St Albans to lead refurbishment projects including kitchens, bathrooms, roofing, windows and doors, and adaptations.

You will manage on-site teams, coordinate with clients and designers, control costs, schedule works, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering up to £55,000 plus a company car or car allowance.

Site Manager - Planned Maintenance
50K - 55K plus company car or car allowance
St Albans
Full-Time, permanent position

We are working with a leading Social Housing Contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager to deliver Planned Maintenance Projects including: kitchens, bathrooms, rooofing, window and door replacements, aids and adapts, cladding, and structural repairs.

This is a client facing role where you will be responsible for delivering refurbishment programs to tenanted properties, through effective management of your site team of Assistant Site Managers and Resident Liaison Officers. We are looking for candidates with proven experience of driving successful delivery through effective management, whilst ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Site Manager Duties:

• Controlling the overall direction and whilst maintaining financial control of the contract
• Work in partnership with the client and client representatives, to ensure that a high quality service delivery is actually provided
• Cost control and subcontractor management
• Implementing the short, mid and long term programmes for the various work streams
• Carry out onsite inspections, undertake investigations, enquiries, prepare reports and offer solutions maintaining continuous improvement
• Hand over properties on time, working to strict key performance indicators
• Liaison with the client and contract administrators
• Health and safety on the site
• Management and control of the site administration and staff
• Scheduling and procurement of materials
• Chair sub-contractor progress meetings
• Liaising with Design Teams, Client Representatives and Consultants
• Programming works using MS Project
