Fortem seeks an Assistant Site Manager to join our Birmingham team, delivering retrofit, construction and external refurbishment programmes within the West Midlands. You will support the Site Manager, manage contractors, ensure safety and quality, and drive customer satisfaction for tenanted properties.

The role requires experience in social housing refurbishment, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a planned works environment.

Competenze

• Experience in construction/refurbishment, ideally at Assistant Site Manager level.
• Full driving licence.
• Supervisory or management experience with subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Problem solving skills and analytical capability.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to engage people and build strong working relations with trades, colleagues, clients and managers.
• Worked in a planned works environment/site.
• Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.

Mansioni

• Assist with the management and safe delivery of social housing refurbishment works.
• Ensure safe, effective and timely delivery of construction operations.
• Report into the Site Manager and manage all contractors and refurbishment across tenanted properties.
• Ensure works comply with BS7671 and other relevant standards.
• Issuing clear, unambiguous instructions to trades or subcontractors.
• Carry out ad hoc safety inspections on supply chain partners.
• Carry out quality inspections on all works.
• Organise work activity and prioritisation for the team.
• Complete an accident form in the presence of an injury.
• Manage welfare facilities on site.
• Support tenants daily and achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
