Job Description:

We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with an Assistant Site Manager, based at Trimpley on water treatment projects.

You will report directly to the Site Manager, assisting in directing the site team to coordinate the safe management of all operational activities, ensuring HSQE, programme, and budget requirements are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring all works consider the needs of the local population and the travelling public.
• Managing, supervising, and mentoring the site team.
• Promoting cost-effective resource management.
• Preparing, reviewing, and updating realistic scheme programmes.
• Preparing, reviewing, briefing, and updating method statements and risk assessments.
• Providing 'as constructed' records to the CDMC for the Health and Safety File post-completion.

About The Candidate:

• Experience as an assistant site manager, Site Engineer, or a delivery graduate.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Management certification (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate).
• CSCS Site Manager card.
• First Aid at Work - preferred.
• Experience in Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry - preferred.
• Construction industry experience, especially in water or relevant sectors.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• Good communication and email skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors and ground workers or eagerness to learn.
• Civil background preferred.
• Proficient IT skills (Excel, Word, Teams).
• Availability to start as soon as possible.
