Job summary

Fortem, part of the Willmott Dixon Group, is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to oversee an accelerated retrofit cladding replacement and refurbishment programme for four high-rise blocks in central Bristol. The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with interviews conducted ASAP and offers anticipated August/September.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large scale construction projects, through subcontract supply chain arrangements.
• UK driving license and CSCS card required.
• First Aid at Work certification preferred.
• Desirable: experience with retrofit projects delivered to PAS2035 or similar standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to promote the Fortem brand in the market.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental management at highest standards.
• Lead project strategies to meet sustainability objectives.
• Identify and manage commercial risk.
• Develop relationships with client representatives, consultants and stakeholders.
• Manage supply chain relationships and performance.
• Recruit and develop Fortem staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Provide technical support to client and project team.
• Ensure robust defect and complaints handling strategy.
• Support sustainability commitments.
• Deliver quality throughout project lifecycle with zero defects at handover.
