Job summary

Fortem, part of the Willmott Dixon Group, is delivering an accelerated retrofit cladding replacement and refurbishment programme to four high-rise blocks in central Bristol. The assistant site manager will oversee a fast-paced contract for the Bristol City Council project, coordinating measures to ensure quality and safety on site.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with offers anticipated August/September.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large scale construction projects through subcontract supply chain.
• UK driving license required.
• CSCS card required.
• First Aid at work certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to promote the Fortem brand.
• Maintain highest health, safety and environmental standards.
• Lead project strategies to meet sustainability objectives.
• Identify and manage commercial risk.
• Develop strong relationships with client reps, consultants and stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with supply chain.
• Recruit, train and motivate Fortem staff to deliver high quality service.
• Provide technical support and advice to client and project team.
• Ensure robust strategy for dealing with complaints and defects.
• Support sustainability commitments and zero defects on handover.
