Job summary

Ignite Talent Group is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager to join a 150-unit residential development in Yorkshire. You will support the Site Manager and development team, coordinating subcontractors and site activities while ensuring quality and safety standards.

This role offers hands-on training, progression opportunities and exposure across the full site management process, with a clear path to progressing towards Site Manager level.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor on residential builds.
• Strong understanding of housebuilding methods.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and site activities.
• Knowledge of construction programmes, drawings and specs.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Effective communication and organisation skills.
• Proactive hands-on approach and detail orientation.
• Willingness to develop towards Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in day-to-day delivery of the development.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site activities.
• Coordinate works with the construction programme and build schedule.
• Monitor progress and implement solutions to keep on programme.
• Conduct quality inspections to meet standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company procedures.
• Assist with inductions, toolbox talks and site documentation.
• Maintain accurate site records and support progress reporting.
