A privately owned Groundworks Sub-contractor based in Bedfordshire has an opportunity for an Assistant Contracts Manager to join their team.

The Company - Groundwork & Civil Engineering Contractor

Our client is a privately owned, well-established construction company specializing in all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering throughout the southeast of England.

Operating from their Head Office in Bedfordshire, they have sites near Rugby, along the Thames Valley, down to Crawley, and around North and East London.

They have built an excellent reputation with well-known construction companies and are currently growing. They are seeking a Trainee Contracts Manager who wishes to be part of their growth.

Their projects range from GBP400k to GBP3m, with an average project value of GBP1.5m.

The Role - Assistant Contracts Manager

As an Assistant Contracts Manager, your time will be split between the office and site (generally 2 days in the office and 3 days on site). You will be trained by site Supervisors and the Construction Director. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all aspects of site management, conducting regular site visits to inspect, support, and ensure adherence to the program and quality standards.
2. Arranging resources for project delivery, including ordering drainage and liaising with suppliers.
3. Attending weekly client meetings, taking notes, issuing notes, and following up on actions.

You should have some supervisory experience within the construction industry. This role is ideal for candidates residing in the Hertfordshire / North London area, with suitable locations including Watford, Hemel Hempstead, and Enfield.
