Assistant Site Manager

Rainham, Essex

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager / Landfill Supervisor, to assist the Site Manager with operating a landfill site, based in Rainham, Essex. This position would suit someone with experience working with yellow plant equipment and experience of supervising a small team.

As the Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Landfill Site
  • Ensuring site compliance with Waste Management Licensing, Health & Safety at work act and other policies/procedures
  • Supervising and leading other members of staff
  • Assist the weighbridge with any queries as they arise and resolve problems by communicating with internal departments
  • Investigate all incidents and accidents
  • Ensure weighbridge operations are operated in line with company procedures
  • Assist with financial recording, spend against budget, receipt of capital and purchase orders
  • Regularly check with site operations to confirm if service delivered and goods received
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Proven supervisory experience or experience leading other members of staff
  • Experience of yellow plant and equipment
  • A good understanding of P&L and budgets
  • An understanding of the Waste industry is beneficial
  • The ability to operate mobile plant
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
