Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a dedicated Cleaner for Cantell School in Southampton. The role is permanent, full-time, 25 hours per week with a 15:00–20:00 shift, and pays £12.71 per hour.

You will join a team delivering high standards of cleanliness and safeguarding policy compliance on school premises. The successful candidate should be reliable, able to work to a schedule, and willing to undertake training.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience preferred; training provided.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
• Capable of working to a schedule and as part of a team.
• Be self-driven and determined.
• Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Undertake training to deliver the cleaning role.
• Work within a team and on own initiative.
• Adhere to Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain designated areas to agreed cleanliness levels; perform daily/weekly tasks.
• Ensure service is delivered to a high standard.
• Keep equipment clean and safe; report maintenance needs.
• Maintain security and follow policy guidelines.
• Know the designated area and time allocations.
• Understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used by Mitie.
• Present a professional appearance and punctuality.
• Follow safeguarding policies and raise concerns as required.
• Protect confidentiality and ensure security on site.
• Build positive relationships with customers and seek improvements.
• Undertake other related duties as needed.
