Job description

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 main contractor in Plymouth, for an assistant site manager to join the team on a freelance basis.

The project is an industrial and logistics warehouse, circa £5m in value, and for the suitable candidate, there will be a minimum of 6 months of continuous freelance work.

As a company, my client is a top name within the industrial and logistics sector, and has a huge amount of work on the park in the South West, so the possibility of continuous long-term work is there.

Necessary Qualifications:

1. SMSTS
2. CSCS
3. First Aid at work

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Proven experience with industrial & logistics type projects is preferable.
2. If not previously gained industrial & logistics experience, candidates from a commercial project background will be considered.
3. Previous steel frame experience will also be considered.
4. Strong knowledge of build processes, materials, and subcontractor management.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency / experience in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
