Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a site supervisor to join a fast-paced steel-framed distribution centre project in the Guildford area. You will coordinate subcontractors, drive the short- to medium-term programme and ensure health and safety across the works.

Reporting to the Project Manager and working with Contracts Manager, you will take projects from early site setup through delivery to handover, maintaining schedule, quality, and budget and supporting ongoing steel frame and fit-out

Qualifications

• You will ideally have a civil engineer background and have delivered fast paced steel framed distribution centre projects in the past.
• Must have up-to-date CSCS, SMSTS and 1st aid certifications and a strong focus on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage site works across steel frame and fit-out packages.
• Plan and update short-, weekly- and monthly programmes with subcontractors and clients.
• Drive the project on site, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Job description

The role will start from an already demolished site and going on to do all the groundwork's, structures and fit out across the scheme over the next 26 months with the steel famed buildings and associated car parks and office space.

My client who works nationally on industrial, retail, education, and leisure schemes from £10 - £100 million and has number of ongoing schemes early stages,

The ideal candidate will be part of the team reporting to the Project Manager and looking after your own section / ware of works throughout the project responsible for the programming and planning of works alongside daily, weekly and monthly team meetings with both subcontractors and clients as required.

Running your particular subcontractor packages you will ensure the sub-contractors are working both to target and safely through your team to enable your project Manager to deal with the clients representative from programme changes to updates /issues / technical queries then resolving these to keep the project on track whilst you drive the site and the safety / quality throughout .

You will be supported by the established Project Manager and Contracts Manager and working together to deliver the scheme safely on time and to budget and be experienced in coordination and managing both construction and fit out teams across the project with updates to the short-term programme on a daily weekly and monthly basis

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Applicants will ideally have a civil engineer background and have delivered fast paced steel framed distribution centre projects in the past. applicants must have up to date CSCS , SMSTS and 1st aid as well as experience with managing health and safety and starting projects up and taking them through to the finishing stages / handover .
