Job summary

Thomas Gray Ltd is seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to take over the final phase of a Pride in the Job winning site on the Surrey/West Sussex border. A future lead Site Manager opportunity exists in West Sussex.

You will manage site resources, uphold health and safety standards, conduct homeowner welcome meetings, handle on-site issues, control materials and subcontractors, and keep stakeholders updated throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage all site resources, including labour, plant, and materials, while maintaining health and safety compliance and delivering client service.
• Conduct homeowner welcome meetings and explain the aftercare process.
• Take full ownership of on-site issues, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
• Oversee the ordering, storage, and utilization of materials to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Maintain control over sub-contractor activities by itemising, programming, and authorising work as required.
• Serve as a key point of contact, liaising with internal teams to provide progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning housebuilder who, with an excellent land bank and project pipeline, is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to take over the last phase of Pride in the Job winning site on the Surrey/West Sussex borders. On completion, there is an opportunity to take on a new project in West Sussex as a lead Site Manager.

• Manage all site resources, including labour, plant, and materials, while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations and delivering excellent client service.
• Conduct homeowner welcome meetings and explain the aftercare process.
• Take full ownership of on-site issues, ensuring they are addressed and resolved promptly.
• Oversee the ordering, storage, and utilization of materials to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Maintain control over sub-contractor activities by accurately itemizing, programming, and authorizing work as required.
• Serve as a key point of contact, liaising with internal teams to provide regular, clear progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.
