They have a great opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis, initially working on a new build housing project in Derry City, Northern Ireland. The Assistant Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing an integral phase of the project, reporting to a Senior Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the construction site, including sub-contractors, health and safety of personnel, quality, and workmanship of labour.
• Managing and coordinating site labour and agency staff.
• Assisting in the management and day-to-day running of on-site activities.
• Assisting the Site Manager in managing the short-term programme to maximise efficiency and ensure completion aligns with the schedule.
• Supporting the Site Manager with management responsibilities for all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Managing subcontractors and employees, and resolving issues as required.
• Delivering projects on time and to a high standard.
• Handling all document control as part of project management.
• Maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS), policies, and procedures.

The Ideal Person:

• Degree qualified or possess relevant qualifications.
• Background in main contracting.
• Experience with groundworks.
• Numeracy and IT skills, including MS Office, Word, and Excel.
• Full driving licence and relevant site cards.
• Excellent communication skills and good commercial awareness.
• Ability to take initiative, accountability, and responsibility for projects from start to finish.
• Deadline-driven with the ability to motivate teams to meet targets.
