Job description

Assistant Site Manager – New Build Housing

Location: Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package
Employment: Permanent
Project: 90+ Unit High-Quality Residential Development
Start: Ideally within 6 weeks

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to join an established residential developer on a new 90+ unit housing development in Cirencester.

This is a traditional build development with a higher-end product and a strong emphasis on build quality, presentation and finish. The scheme has an anticipated 2-3 year programme, offering excellent long-term security and the opportunity to see the development through multiple stages of delivery.

Working alongside the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the development, coordinating trades and subcontractors while ensuring the required standards of quality, programme and health & safety are maintained.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the daily management of the development
  • Coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
  • Monitoring build quality and ensuring works meet the required specification
  • Carrying out site inspections and assisting with snagging
  • Monitoring health & safety standards
  • Helping maintain the construction programme
  • Coordinating materials, labour and upcoming works
  • Assisting with plots through build stages, completion and handover
  • Developing your management experience alongside an experienced site team
About You

This position would suit an existing Assistant Site Manager with new build housing experience who wants to join a quality-focused developer and continue progressing their career.

Candidates must hold:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid

Scaffold Inspection or Scaffold Appreciation would be advantageous.

Previous experience working on traditional build residential developments is strongly preferred, particularly where you have been involved with managing trades, quality inspections and plots through the various stages of construction.

Package & Progression

A salary of up to £50,000 + package is available, dependent upon experience.

Alongside the package, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to gain further responsibility on a substantial development and continue progressing towards running their own projects.

The company is looking to appoint shortly, with an ideal start date within approximately 6 weeks.

With 90+ homes and a 2-3 year programme, this offers genuine stability and a strong long-term career opportunity in the Cirencester area.
