Job summary

Cats Protection in Paignton is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help maximise shop income and run daily activities on a 14-hour rota, including weekends. You will support the Shop Manager, act as a brand ambassador for Cats Protection and maintain high standards of customer service and shop operations.

Ideal candidates will have relevant retail experience, be comfortable working to sales targets, manage cash reconciliations, and motivate a team of staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable learning and experience from working in a relevant retail environment.
• Experience and/or understanding of working to sales targets.
• Experience of cash reconciliation and financial controls.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team of employees and volunteers.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of our Assistant Shop Manager:

About the retail team:

• Our retail operation consists of over 80 charity shops
• Each of our shops has its own charm and personality due to our dedicated volunteers and colleagues. From vintage jewelleryand jigsaws to harps and handbags, whether our customers are looking for that 'must have' item or simply a 'missing piece'.
