Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Bridgend to help deliver safe, person-centred care at home. You will support the Service Manager, oversee daily operations, and guide the team on shifts, including sleep-ins when needed.
You will champion a compassionate, dignity-driven approach, manage rota coverage, and travel to meetings and training as required. The role requires a full driving licence and a willingness to travel across the community.

Role: Assistant Service Manager
Location: Bridgend Homecare Team
Hours: 40Your shift pattern will include weekends (hands on and hands off)
Salary:£31,513pa and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile
Contract: Permanent
In this role, you'll work alongside the Service Manager to deliver a safe, high-quality, person-centred service for the people we support and our colleagues. You'll be actively involved in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting elderly people and individuals with dementia in their own homes across the community. This includes assisting with personal care, such as washing and dressing, domestic tasks, and empowering people to make their own choices and achieve their personal goals. Working on a rota basis, including sleep-ins where required, you'll also lead the service in the Service Manager's absence by supporting the team, overseeing daily operations, and promoting a positive, values-led culture. Above all, you'll help people live as independently as possible, making everyday remarkable.
