Duration: Initially 6 months

Hours: 37 hours a week

Rate: £21 umbrella an hour

Location: Bournemouth

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council are looking for an Assistant SEND Placement Officer to join their Special Educational Needs Team. As an Assistant SEND Placement Officer, you will:

  • Produce half-termly reports (from data from HNS and synergy) on provisions with funding due to end.
  • Work alongside SEND Case Officers to ensure funding for provisions that need to continue is on synergy and approved prior to provider continuation.
  • Produce termly reports on school placements with funding due to end.
  • Support Access to Resources Team by working through queries; meet weekly to review the list.
  • Track patterns to understand issues and create potential proactive solutions.
  • Meet with schools with high query volumes to resolve issues in bulk.
  • Work through High Needs Checks.
  • Run weekly reports on current EHCPs to ensure all pupils have a current placement.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Educated to GCSE Level A-C in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs.
