Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Edinburgh is recruiting an Assistant Risk Manager to join our Project Controls Team. You will work on high-profile infrastructure projects across energy, renewables, defence, rail and utilities, supporting threat and opportunity identification and risk budgeting.

You will contribute to the development of management responses, monitor exposure, and prepare risk reports for senior management, using tools like Safran, @risk, PRA and web-based dashboards.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, automotive or management consultancy.
• Understanding of integrated risk management across portfolios, programmes and projects.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and workshops on risk and scenario analysis.
• Knowledge of quantitative risk assessments and probabilistic modelling.
• Familiarity with web-based reporting tools (ARM, Xactium, Predict).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues.
• Maintain visibility of trigger points to support risk budgeting.
• Develop management responses with measurable outcomes.
• Monitor risk exposure against budget and timelines.
• Produce fit-for-purpose risk reports for senior management.
