Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Risk Manager for our Edinburgh office to bolster the Project Controls Team. Qualifications

  • Industry experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, automotive or consultancy.
  • Understanding integrated risk management across portfolios, programmes and projects.
  • Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment including probabilistic modelling (QRSA/QCSA) with tools such as @risk, PRA or equivalent.
  • Risk and Scenario Analysis workshop facilitation.
  • Development of proactive threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation.
  • Broad understanding of Project Controls methodology and risk management interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues.
  • Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to support risk budgeting and timing.
  • Develop appropriate, measurable management responses and assess post-mitigation positions.
  • Monitor overall risk exposure against remaining risk budget and timeline.
  • Produce and present fit-for-purpose risk reports for senior management.
  • Understand quantitative risk assessment to inform contingency and time risk allowances.
  • Familiarity with web-based tools such as ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI.
