Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall, a luxury spa resort, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager and lead the dining team. You will help run day-to-day operations and ensure guests receive outstanding service from arrival to departure.

The role requires proven supervisory experience, leadership and superb organisational skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Flexible, full-time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have previous supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Must have excellent knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Must have a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Desirable: experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Desirable: food safety qualification.
• Desirable: knowledge of food and beverage health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the daily running of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures.
• Leading engaging pre-shift briefings, keeping the team informed of VIP guests, special occasions, and daily priorities.
• Delivering exceptional guest service and lead by example.
• Resolving guest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Maintaining excellent product, menu, and beverage knowledge.
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, hygiene and first aid compliance.
• Supporting rota planning and staffing levels to meet business needs.
• Motivating, coaching, and supporting the restaurant team to deliver consistently high standards.
