Job summary

BABA restaurant at Kimpton Charlotte Square in Edinburgh is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to deliver a personalised service and support the team in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, maintaining high standards in a fast-paced city-centre setting.

You’ll earn £15.35 per hour plus service charge, with generous IHG benefits including staff discounts, complimentary hotel stays for you and a guest, volunteering days, wellness tools and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager.

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at BABA restaurant in Kimpton Charlotte Square!
You will earn £15.35 per hour - equal to £ 31,930.00 salary, plus service charge

Our award-winning BABA restaurant sitting proudly on the iconic George Street in Edinburgh within the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel brings flavours inspired by the Levant. The menu consists of mezze, charcoal grills and unique cocktails - made for sharing and bringing people together! Our restaurant is popular both with Edinburgh locals and those from far-and-wide visiting Edinburgh alike, we can host between 250 and 400 covers each night. Hosting an open kitchen, our customers can experience an authentic experience with a personalised service!

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will be providing a personalised service to customers and playing a key role in supporting the team in the absence of our Restaurant Manager by helping them with high-level service recoveries, training them to a high standard and ensuring that our service is consistent across the board. You will be someone who has some level of management or supervisory experience, looking to take the next step in your career progression and join a fast-paced extremely popular city-centre restaurant.

To succeed as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will need:

• Experience working within a restaurant as either a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager
• Some people management skills, ideally having been involved in the training and mentoring of employees and supported in some level the recruitment of new starters
• Hunger for success in the form of a high standard service, you will pay close attention to detail and have experience dealing with service recoveries
• To be a confident leader who enjoys to lead by example!
• Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalise our Guests stay and provide your local wisdom to enhance their experience
• Ability to work together in the team with guests as our centre focus!
