Job summary

Leicester Marriott is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Leader to head the Market Kitchen Restaurant & Bar team and assist the Restaurant & Bar Manager. You’ll ensure guests enjoy fast, friendly service and that staff are knowledgeable about every dish and beverage offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise shifts in Market Kitchen Restaurant & Bar to ensure all shifts run smoothly.
• Be knowledgeable about all food and beverage items offered and ensure the team shares that knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures.
• Inspect storage areas for cleanliness and organization.
• Complete stock inventories regularly and order stock as required.
• Support training and development of the team.
• Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with other hotel teams and be flexible to supporting in all areas.
• Identify, develop and introduce ways to upsell and increase revenue within the department.
• Support developing seasonal promotions to drive additional sales.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, the best meals aren’t just made by our brilliant chefs. They’re made even more memorable by the great service our guests enjoy. As our Assistant Restaurant Leader, you’ll lead the team in our Market Kitchen Restaurant & Bar and also support the Restaurant & Bar Manager.

You’ll make sure you and the team know every dish on the menu, so you can make recommendations and answer any questions customers may have. You’ll make sure their food and drinks are served quickly, efficiently and with a smile - and if there are any issues, you’ll deal with them right away. Thanks to you, our guests will feel well-fed, happy and want to come back for more.

What you’ll do
