Job summary

Coinford Holdings Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, focusing on supporting the growth and delivery of our new Tarmac division across the Essex/Suffolk area.

You will provide commercial support to our senior surveying team, helping ensure works are procured, managed, and delivered to budget, programme, and high quality standards. There are opportunities to gain experience across Groundworks and RC Frame divisions for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Interest in construction and eagerness to develop a career in quantity surveying.
• Experience in a similar role or relevant academic qualification.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost forecasts, valuations, and tender submissions.
• Conduct accurate site measurements and maintain proper records.
• Support in managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and final account agreements.
• Monitor project budgets, variations, and monthly cost reports.
• Prepare and submit interim applications for payment and follow up on timely receipt.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to support change management and cost assessments.
• Develop knowledge of contract law and project obligations.
• Foster relationships with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery.
