Job summary

S Guest Consultancy Services Ltd is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Manager and project teams on façade projects across the UK. You will help maintain commercial information, ensure contract requirements are met, and progress toward a QS role within a growing specialist contractor.

The role involves site visits, cost-control tasks, payroll payments, and assisting with monthly reports. Suitable for candidates from early-career AQS to those ready to progress to QS.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a QS or commercial role.
• Façade, cladding or envelope experience is an advantage, but not essential.
• Studying for or holding a BSc/HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (desirable).
• Some knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
• Good time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• A strong communicator and team player who can also work on their own initiative.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Helping prepare applications for payment and chasing prompt payment for work done.
• Supporting the build-up and agreement of variation accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Assisting with monthly cost-to-complete (CTC) reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Helping set up subcontract orders on the correct terms and conditions.
• Preparing and issuing payment notices to subcontractors.
• Supporting final accounts with clients and the supply chain.
• Working with site teams and visiting sites as needed.
