Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their Mansfield office. You will assist the commercial team with cost control on civil engineering and groundworks packages for residential projects, including tender preparation, contract review, budgets, measurements and subcontractor payments.

The role requires a degree or diploma in QS or related field, strong numeracy, good communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; estimating

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills are essential.
• Good communication and negotiation abilities are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Support in preparing and reviewing contract documentation.
• Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Help manage subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Carry out site measurements and valuations.
• Support in the preparation of monthly cost/value reports.
• Assist with procurement and placing subcontract orders.
• Work with site teams to monitor progress and variations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.
