Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support our Mansfield-based commercial team on civil engineering groundworks for residential projects.

You will assist with tender submissions, cost estimates, contract documentation, and budget monitoring, while helping manage subcontractor accounts and site measurements. The role offers ongoing training, development opportunities, and a clear progression path within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Good communication and negotiation abilities

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates
• Support in preparing and reviewing contract documentation
• Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle
• Help manage subcontractor accounts and payments
• Carry out site measurements and valuations
• Support in the preparation of monthly cost/value reports
• Assist with procurement and placing subcontract orders
• Work closely with the site teams to monitor progress and variations
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation
