I am recruiting for an established regional construction business based near Newbury, operating within Hampshire, Berkshire, and Surrey.
The company is a recognized brand with an annual turnover exceeding £50 million, yet maintains a family-oriented culture in terms of values and treatment of staff, clients, and the wider supply chain. They work on frameworks and negotiated schemes across education, healthcare, retail, and local authority sectors. Project values range from £2 million to £20 million, and the company is involved throughout the project lifecycle, providing advice, support, and innovative working methods.
Your duties will include collaborating with estimating and bid teams to finalize prices and costs, compiling scopes of works and bill of quantities, working with supply chain partners to plan project phases, placing orders, organizing pre-start meetings, and managing schemes alongside the delivery team. You will perform standard Quantity Surveyor responsibilities such as valuations, payments, remeasurements, managing variation accounts, CVRs, and reporting and forecasting through to final accounts, under the supervision of a Senior QS who will support your training and development.
The initial project is a new build care home and hospice valued at £12 million.
