Job description

I am recruiting for an established regional construction business based near Winchester, covering Hampshire, Berkshire, and Surrey.

The company is a recognized brand with a turnover exceeding £150 million annually, operating through a regional branch network. Despite its size, it maintains a family-oriented culture in terms of values and how staff, clients, and the wider supply chain are treated. They work on frameworks and negotiated schemes in the education, healthcare, retail, and local authority sectors. Project values range from £2 million to £20 million, and the company maintains close relationships with clients, offering advice, support, and innovative working methods.

Your duties will include collaborating with the estimating and bid teams to finalize prices and costs for each package based on initial bids, compiling scopes of works and bills of quantities, and coordinating with the supply chain to plan delivery phases. You will place orders, organize pre-start meetings, and manage schemes alongside the delivery team. Standard QS responsibilities such as valuations, payments, remeasurements, managing variation accounts, CVRs, and reporting will be part of your role, with supervision and training provided by a Senior QS.
